Little Legs Foundation

Small actions. Lasting change. Driven by hope and compassion.

Founded in memory of beloved daughter Alegra (PLC Sydney Kindergarten, 2017), Little Legs Foundation is dedicated to raising awareness and funding vital research to help find a cure for childhood brain cancer.

Hi, I’m Alegra’s mum and co-founder of The Little Legs Foundation. Everything I do is driven by one belief: that my daughter’s life — and her passing — must lead to change. Change in awareness, in advocacy, and in outcomes for the children and families diagnosed after her.

Through this foundation, Alegra’s name stands for action, for voice, and for refusing to accept “Go home and make memories.” If you’re here, you’re part of that work already and we thank you for being a part of Alegra’s Army. This is Alegra’s legacy and we have some work to do this year, so please invite your friends along.

Alegra was born 19 September 2011. The most incredible little girl loved by all. Loving, caring and the worlds best big sister and sharer. Sadly, on the 7 October 2017 Alegra lost her battle with Brain Cancer at the age of 6, only 10 months from diagnosis. She made it seem okay that this disease lurked inside her. Alegra never let it define her.

She went to school everyday, swam, danced and attended gymnastics classes. All was going too well post surgery and treatment, for reasons that all struggle to understand things changed for Alegra so quickly. She was promised more time here, 6 years are clearly not enough.

It was not our choice to survive without you, so we choose to live and to honour you.
